Baku Heydar Aliyev international airport is one of the five international airports serving Azerbaijan. It serves approximately 1million of passengers a year. It is the base hub of the Azerbaijan Hava Yollari national flag carrier. Due to its perfect geographical location, it has become a first-choice for transfer flights between East and West, North and South.

Location

The airport is located 20 km northeast of the capital Baku and is connected to the city by two modern highways - Airport Highway (14km) and Zigh-Airport Highway (17km). The journey from city centre to the airport by car takes 30 min-40 min.

Getting to the airport

Direct Express minibus route number 116 from the Airport to Baku City centre. Bus runs every 30 minutes from early morning until late night. The bus stop is located outside the Airport building, across the parking area. The service terminates at S. Vurgun's park on the 28 May street. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes.
