In the 1920s, after the end of World War I, European countries increasingly used aviation for peaceful purposes; transporting passengers, mail and cargo. Russia kept pace with its neighbours with flights abroad, generally operated using re-equipped warplanes. Later Aeroflot became the successor to the former Soviet air carrier.

Business class fares of all - 2 pieces. Should not exceed 32 kg in weight and the sum of the three dimensions of 158 cm.

Economy class, group rates, Economy Status - 2 pieces

Economy class, all the rest of tariffs - 1 piece. Should not exceed 23 kg in weight and the sum of the three dimensions of 158 cm.

For children from 2 to 12 years - the same free checked baggage as for an adult passenger.

For babies up to 2 years (no seat) free checked baggage weight is 1 place not exceeding 10 kg and 115cm by the sum of three dimensions, regardless of service class.

Check-in for Aeroflot flights

In Riga airport check-in can be performed using services of airport employees or using Aeroflot homepage. Online Check-In starts 24 hours before departure; the service is available 1.5 hours before departure.
