Hand Baggage

Passengers are allowed to take one piece of hand baggage plus a laptop or handbag. Maximum bag weight is 23 kg, with following dimensions 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. Laptop or handbag should be not bigger then  45cm x 36cm x 20cm. Infants (under 2 years) are allowed to take only one bag (for items infant may require during the flight).

Checked-in baggage

For flights on British Airways passengers could get a free baggage allowance, which will vary depending on the class of travel and ticket type. Passengers can take extra bags for a charge. Any bag that is heavier than the free weight allowance may incur an overweight baggage charge, payable at check-in.The maximum dimensions of the baggage bag are: 90cm x 75cm x 43cm.

First Club World (Business): 3 pieces up to 32 kg

Club Europe (Business): 2 pieces up to 32 kg

World Traveller, Y-class (full fare Economy): 2 pieces up to 23 kg

World Traveller, Euro Traveller, Domestic (Economy): 1 piece up to 23 kg

Baggage allowance for children (aged 2-11) is the same as adult allowance plus one fully-collapsible pushchair (stroller) and one car seat; for infants under 2 years: one bag plus one fully-collapsible pushchair (stroller) and one car seat.

Check-in for British Airways flights

There are four ways passengers can check in for British Airways flight: online at ba.com; on internet enabled mobile phone; at an airport kiosk; or at a British Airways check-in desk. All British Airways check-in desks at London Heathrow and Gatwick will close 45 minutes before the flight departs. Online check-in open from 24 hours before flight departs and closes one hour before flight’s scheduled departure.
