China Airlines is carrier of Republic of China and the largest airline in Taiwan. It was founded in december 1959 and now this air carrier is owned by China Airlines Group. It is based in Taiwan Taoyuan International airport and operates on 110 destinations in 28 countries and reģions in Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. This airline is mainly represented in Southeast Asia, East Asia and Northeast Asia, and mostly concentrated on serving Shanghai, Guangzhou and Bejing destinations. China Airlines is a member of SkyTeam alliance as well.
Each hand baggage may not exceed 56x36x23cm in size or 7kg.

Travel to/from the U.S., Canada and certain countries in South and Central America
First/ Business: 2 pieces. Each bag should not exceed 158 cm; weight of each bag should not exceed 32 kg.
Economy: 2 pieces up to 158 cm each and 23 kg each, sum of total dimensions of both pieces should not exceed 273 cm
Infant: 10 kg plus one collapsible stroller
Paragon members (on flights operated by CI/AE code): extra 2 pieces
Paragon members (on flights operated by SkyTeam Alliance members) : extra 1 piece
Infants: 1 piece up to 115 cm and 10 kg plus one collapsible stroller
Passengers could make:
- Internet e-Check-in from 24 hours up to 3 hours prior to the flight scheduled departure time for CI international flights
- Kiosk Self Check-In at the airport
- Counter Check-In at the airport. It is recommend to check in 2 hours before the scheduled departure time, but passengers may need 3 hours or even more for some busy airports such as in the U.S.
