Kosice is Slovakia's second largest city. Located in the East River at the Hornad. Remained relatively high in the center. Every year on the first Sunday of October is Kosice Marathon - the oldest traditional marathon in Europe (from 1924.). Scripture town was first mentioned in the 1230th year. Because of its location, it quickly became Slovakias major eastern city. In 1918th Kosice became part of Czechoslovakia. In 1919th Kosice for short time was capital of Slovakias  Socialist Republic. During World War II, according to the Vienna arbitration Kosice Hungary became part of the Hungary. After the war was returned Kosice to Czechoslovakia.
